whatcha making - men for holidays?
I thought it'd be a neat idea to share what we're planning on making, buying, doing for our men this holiday season...
so far i'm making a blanket, some clothing (that includes winter gear), am thinking about special dessert cookies for each one... not yet sure about what i'll be buying.
I wanna try to make as small a Yule as possible and as home made as possible... from me at least.
how 'bout you?

My father and i have this running joke about how my car is really his car. He lives in South Carolina so i am going to take a picture of my car and frame it for him. I am also toying with peanut butter cupcakes for him.

The 'men' in my life are the Old Man, my ex-hubby and my ex-fil.
I want to make the Old Man a hat that he can wear under his hardhat. I still don't know if I can find a skullcap thin enough... need to check out the military patterns.
My ex-hubby is hard to buy for... and diabetic to boot. I may make him some diabetic cookies... but he may think I am trying to off him or something
The ex-fil is getting cookies (shared gift with ex-mil)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Food also. My brother loves getting gift baskets of goodies (homemade). He says he know he will eat well for several weeks after holidays! BIL and FIL love my homemade jelly and homemade rum balls. They always look forward to them.
Just about every gift I give (except babies) will be some sort of food.
We ALL have to eat!!!! Food items are my favorite gifts to recieve as wellLast edited by POOTERSMOMMY; 09-24-2008 at 04:06 PM.

I am crocheting some beanies for the younger guys 14-19 years old well and my dh
Other than that I've been pretty stumped and will probably just go for food. I could just make my FIL a coconut cream pie and he'd love me forever. Actually he already does * I cook for him all the time!
My dad however is next to impossible to buy for so I might just go with a #1 grandpa type thing. About the only thing he's into right now is his my dd. She's the first grandchild *can you say spoiled?
