Michelle, a Christmas cake is those fruit cakes you get around this time of year until Christmas. They usually have all kinds of fruit in along with lots of icing on top (sweet sweet icing). We've always called it Christmas cake but its really is fruit cake.
btw - ladies I'm chomping on carrots because you won't let me have more Christmas cake.

No sugar Christmas cake - does that mean
Yesterday at the craft sale across from me a dad and his 2 dd's were selling Christmas cakes. Dark, light and no sugar.
The no sugar one has the sweeting from the fruits and its delicious. I only bought one but man I wish I would have boughten more.
Does that mean we can eat way more?
Someone tell me we can because I love Christmas cake BUT I'm on a strick weight loss program.

Nice try but I don't think so. I am cutting down on fat grams, so that would mean I could eat a whole bunch fat free snacks right? Nope it kinda defeats the purpose of weight watching if you do that. Nice try though. I give you an A for effort.

Sorry CJ I have to agree with Mary on this one.
I would like to find a recipe for that cake though as fil is diabetic. It would be nice to suprise him with a no sugar cake. Sil usually does the sugar free dessert stuff, but it all has nutra sweet in it and I am ver allergic to it! Gives me migraines fast!

This cake is made exactly like a Christmas cake but with no sugar or sweetner in of any kind.
The sweetness comes from the natural sweetener of the fruits.
Now I think I'm going to go and pout!! I thought you'd all say YES!!
Lori your just too funny, roflmao.

I'd check first on what the carb count is on the cake. Just because it is sugarless doesn't mean Diabetics can eat lots of it. I just finished taking two classes on Diabetic cooking/eating and Diabetics must limit all carbs, not just sugar! Doesn't mean we can't have some of that cake but, need to make sure it fits in with the number of carbs allowed daily. The nurse has worked an eating plan for me to have 15-17 carb choises a day, for example. Each choise is 15 grams of carbs. A slice of bread is around 15 carbs so it equals 1 choise. Just trying to help folks out that have Diabetics in their families. Hope this helps!
