    Default My Christmas plans.

Help me out here, guys. I'm going to use this thread to keep track of everything I'm going to be doing for Christmas presents for my relatives and the girls' teachers.

So far, here's what I'm thinking:

    For my parents and grandparents
    • -None of my relatives are really people who would spend money on a nice kind of coffee, so I'm going to buy each of them a bag of fancy stuff.
    • -A set of chocolate dipped spoons for coffee. I might mix the chocolate with with cinnamon chips or add some hazelnut flavoring. Plus the cinnamon chips were .70 a bag and I need to use them up.
    • -Sugar cookies. I'm going to make the typical snowmen, stars, christmas trees etc, but I'm going to let the girls paint them with a thin colored icing.
    • -A Christmas themed photo album that features the girls making the treats. I'm also going to put the girls in front of the tree in their dresses and just take a snapshot instead of professional photos this Christmas. That will probably be the cover of the album.
    • -A handmade card.
    • -A bag of home made hot chocolate mix stored in a decorated brown lunch bag.
    • -Hopefully we're going to have some hand made ornaments, too. We picked up some plastic canvas and yarn, and I'm hoping at least one of my punkins takes to it enough to make some handouts.

I know it's kind of wishy washy, but all these things are going to be people who are into the wishy washy stuff... so it's all good. I think I'm going to spring for some cardboard mailing boxes and let the girls decorate the boxes themselves. I'll line it with red tissue paper to make them more festive.

The teachers are going to get an abbreviated version, made out of a dollar store basket and with a smaller bag of coffee.

Here are a couple recipes I'm going to use.
    Chocolate dipped spoons

    Sugar cookies

    Hot Cocoa

I'm going to mail these a little early since they'll probably be better during the month of December when you're feeling all Christmasy.

So what do you think? Any other ideas?

We are making the teachers and bus drivers home made decorative soaps! We have so many winter themed candy molds and left over soap from little craft projects that is the route we will be going this year!
