    Default Putting up Christmas Decorations....

Anyone else getting your home ready for Christmas this weekend?

If not the weekend, when do you put them up?

My mom always had the house decorated the weekend before Thanksgiving...I guess I figured I should follow the tradition.

    Happy Decorating Everyone!!!!

I usually do mine the weekend after Thanksgiving. Right now I have the crud and am still trying to get ready for everyone coming here Thanksgiving.

My mom has had her tree up since the first weekend of this month lol. We went to a Christmas open house and she was bitten by the bug I think.

I love decorating for Christmas and can't wait. Just hoping the crud will be gone before long.

We try to have all the outside lights up and ready to turn on the night of Thanksgiving. Then over that weekend we take down the Thanksgiving stuff and put up the Christmas stuff. Thanksgiving is our kick off for the Christmas season. I hope to get the outside lights up today, I can't do them right now because of my toe surgery so I am hoping to talk my children (all grown!) in to helping hang the outside lights!

We are putting the lites & decorations up outside today.

We usually do it the weekend after Thanksgiving, but, its warm now, and we have a storm moving in on thursday.

We are decorating to the extreme... we are painting the living room this weekend so it will look good for the 'present opening pics' Year after year, I complain about the walls...

We will be busy on the inside this weekend, but if the fumes get to be too much, I will decorate the porch.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I find I get sick of the decorations if they are up for too long so I do not put them up until after December 1st. I work every other weekend so I always put the tree and the decorations up my first weekend off in December.

My long-standing tradition is decorations up the day after T-Day and down on New Year's Day.

I think I am going to put up the outside decorations today. I will wait to do the inside decorations until next Friday (tradition).

We put the bows on the mailbox two weeks ago along with the door sign.

The garland and bows went on the privacy fence last week.

I have my Jingle Bell Rock dancing Santa, light up Frosty, and a few other decorations up around the house.

This week and next week we will get the lights up, the inflatables up and the trees decorated.

We never put up decorations before the 12th or 13th of December. When I was a kid they didn't go up until the 24th. I take down most everything Jan 2 except the nativities which stay up until 12th night when we have a little celebration again.
