Default Any other "late decorators" out there?

It seems people decorate for Christmas sooner and sooner each year. Maybe they sync their decorating with Walmart? I, frankly, get sick of the stuff after a couple weeks. I like to wait until about 10 days before Christmas to start. Anyone else? When I was a kid we didn't decorate until Christmas Eve and it really gave us something to do when that awful childhood wait was on. Maybe I'm a Scrooge and alone on this? Let's find out.

We put our tree and decorations up the day after Thanksgiving (after Black Friday shopping, of course ) In the past, I always took the tree down the day after Christmas, but my family protested too much and I keep it up until Jan, 2nd.

We put ours up around Thanksgiving every year. We are doing it on Thanksgiving this year. Wesley loves the tree and I want him to enjoy it for as long as possible.

It comes down the day after Christmas though!

I decorate late, I guess. I put the tree up about a week before Christmas, and take it down sometime in the first week of January.

My father set the tradition of the tree going up the day after T-Day and coming down on New Year's Day, and I've mindlessly followed that tradition ever since moving out on my own.

I start pulling out the decorations the beginning of Dec. If we get a tree it goes up the week before Christmas and lasts January 6th (the whole 12 days.) I have been known to keep it up till ground hogs day with a change from Christmas decorations to winter decorations.

I'm so late that I'm usually decorating an hour before the guests arrive on Xmas Eve (if we're hosting). If we're not hosting, I don't even bother with it.

I'm clutter averse and find all that extra junk hanging around to be stressful.

Ever since our son was about 2 we've made it a tradition of decorating for Christmas starting the day after Thanksgiving (we do not participate in Black Friday...ever). Sometimes we don't finish the outside decorating until mid December though.

Like Nichole....it all comes down immediately after Christmas.

We decorate later than most(early Dec sometime) and the tree definately goes up no sooner than a week before Christmas. I don't like it when holidays merge into one another & some seem to go on forever. I like anticipating & celebrating each on their own.

I still have Fall stuff out & just took my "terracotta" pumpkins off the porch on Saturday (11/22). Often it just feels too earlier to decorate. So I tend to wait until the last minute for each holiday. Then I leave it out / up a little too long. I'll pull out a few boxes & start decorating the 1st week of December for Christmas. We get a live tree about 2 weeks before Christmas & leave it up until the 2nd weekend of January (sometimes later, but skip plugging in the lights). Definitely a late decorator here!

I'm decorating around the middle of December this year. I find that I get sick of the decorations if I decorate too early. I cannot leave the decorations up till Jan. 6. I just can't stand them that long. I have to get all that clutter cleaned out on Dec. 26. Bah-humbug!
