Giving to needy used toys
I have some used toys that I would love to give to some child who will otherwise have nothing for Christmas. Most of the programs like Toys for Tots only want new toys. Does anyone know of a group that takes used (gently) toys for distribution to the needy? TIA

In our area we have a few shelters that take gently used toys & other items to give away to those that need them. If your area has a central clearing house for community programs you could try calling them, maybe they could point you in the right direction for your area.

Also, try your local Craigslist or Freecycle. They usually have people posting that are looking for toys for gifts that are on limited/nonexistant budgets.
