Do you buy Christmas gifts for your spouse?
Dw and I have not bought each other gifts in many years. I wish it were not so but we neither want anything and we buy stuff we need. Is anyone else in this same situation?

Technically, I don't buy anything for him since it's his paycheck I am buying the stuff with
but, yes, we exchange gifts
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Some years we have, some not. Last year we each took $5 to the local dollar store and bought each other some gifts. This year we probably won't even have the money for that.

We do. I will put off buying things, winter coat, sewing machine, warm robe. But my DH will get them for me. Sometimes I just can't or won't spend the money.

I do, but he's not my spouse. I like finding something he would like and could use that he wouldn't buy himself. I don't buy much in the way of xmas presents for anybody else.

We sometimes do and sometimes don't. But we buy each other practical gifts. Like last year, DH got warm socks and sweatshirts and stuff. I got some kitchen accessories that I really wanted, as mine had worn out.
This year, I bought DH some sweatshirts and stocking caps with his company logo on them so he can wear them to work.
Otherwise, we had a computer crash a few weeks ago and had to buy a new PC, so that was our "official" gift to each other this year!

Socks and underwear every year, from me. And if I find something he would like and hasn't bought for himself. The dog gets him a desk calendar every year.

Yes, we do but it's usually nothing big ~ books, calendars ~ that sort of thing.

Most times Christmas is real tight around here. This year again.
So if we do get each other something for Xmas, it would be something we would be needing, like clothes.
I do get him the Hess truck each year, but at $ 25 now, I hope his parents get him one next year if our budget is still tight like it is now.

Yes, we do buy gifts for each other, but its always things that are needed and not really wanted. Things like clothes, shoes, socks and such. Also like Momto2boyz (the computer) if its a "big" need we call it the gift to each other and let it be the gift.

Yes, we get the things for each that we consider to be more wants than needs. That's what makes it fun!

We do--it's something we budget for in our Christmas Club account. It varies every year on how much we spend, what we buy each other.
I spent about 50$ on various things for hubby this year--a movie, a music dvd, a game for the xbox, etc. I'm also giving him 100$ cash since there are lots of things he wants but won't tell me which one he wants the most.McD

If you have read my posts on other threads concerning gifts and Christmas, you will note that we are rather low key concerning this.
We do exchange gifts, but it is small. Hubby usually gives me a massage (I LOVE it!). This year I am giving him a couple of books that I found at the thrift store and a wind chime. The books are out of print, and he has been wanting them for some time. I was so glad to find them! And they were only 50c each!! Found the wind chime for $2.00, and it is something that he has wanted to put on the patio.
Our custom also is to go out for lunch sometime around Christmas. Probably it will be Appleby's. This is such a treat for both of us.Spiritual:

4. Continue to be looking for how God wants to use me this year.

We have in the past, but this years budget is much different... well its very different because we HAVE one. LOL.
Perhaps we should forgo personal presents this year. I would rather have an anniversary present (traditional = wood) hehehe perhaps we'll get a tree then make something out of it to hang on the wall. The Free Spirit Saver who walks the path with Greebo.
