Default Celebrating holidays frugally - How?

Well, I was thinking today about how I have been able to make things or purchase items cheaply to help celebrate the holidays.

Here is what I have done so far:

Recyled door wreath and changed out the ribbons and ornaments with what I already had.

Made a hot chocolate mix and added mint extract to it. Just seems more festive that way.

Since I have started knitting, decided to make scarfs for presents.

Bought some wax tarts at AC Moore for 2 for $1. Then realized they would make great hostess gifts, etc., so stocked up a bit.

Made some cheddar cracker dough and froze it in case company stops by. Thinking of doing this with some cookie dough also. Then just need to cut and bake.

Was going to make x-mas cards, then realized I had so many x-mas cards that I didn't need to stress myself out creating and will use the store bought ones.

For Thanksgiving dinner looked in freezer and stockpile to see what I had instead of buying more food. Ended up I only needed to buy some meat and canned pumpkin.

So what have you done or are planning on doing that will help to save money while enjoying the holidays. I can't wait to see what others are doing and hopefully get some more ideas.

Those are some good ideas. There's a Christmas forum though... not meant to be snarky just not sure if you're aware.

I did a search on our cable to find all the Christmas specials and I managed to find all but maybe one of my favorite Christmas movies... and I was planning on buying them. I set them to record and now I'll have them all season... no late fees, no rental fees, no extra cost at all.
