Thumbs up My Frugal and Green Christmas Ideas

So my husband and I are on a mission to do our christmas both as green and as frugally as possible with out disappointing certain family members who are hard to buy for or just miserable this season in general.

These are my tips/list for having a good green and frugal christmas so far :

    1. Batteries are great stocking stuffers. Especially the USB ones I have been finding that can be recharged.

    2. Fabric wrapping or homemade reusable wrapping for presents.

    3. LED lights for christmas trees and house lighting - uses less energy therefore saving on the electricity bill while still making things pretty.

    4. Shopping online - saves on gas and your own personal energy. I have been using www.sweetguides.ca they have some amazing green gifts and you can shop by price point. And the 48 hour sales have been a life saver.

    5. Home made presents are great too - especially between the kids. Or if you are great at baking people really do love that stuff.

    6. Remember the holidays are about being together! Make someone smile thats the best thing about the holidays.
