Default Creative ideas for Christmas cookie boxes?

I have two cookie exchanges this year - each one will require and return 5 dozen cookies.

I'm making gingerbread men. I used the recipe last year for ginger snaps, which were excellent, but this year I'm feeling a little more adventurous!

After the cookie exchange, I will have 10 gifts of a dozen cookies that I can give out! This will be my main gift this year. I have some Christmas tins left over from last year, but I would love ideas for creative packaging. Does anyone have any favorite ideas for packaging cookie gifts?

I saw a very cute (and cheap) project for a cookie box. The author of the article took a used pastry box (the kind you get doughnuts and cakes in, with the little plastic window on the top). She carefully removed the plastic "window," then covered the whole box in a really pretty (she used a shiny patterned gold) wrapping paper. Cut it to fit snugly. Reglued the window back in afterward and filled it with truffles in paper cups. It looked like a professional gift box.

Another option was to do something similar with an oatmeal or coffee canister. Hot glue, ribbon, and glitter can be your friend.

Walgreens usually has inexpensive "Chinese takeout' style boxes with Christmas decor on them.

I was going to suggest Chinese takeout style boxes, but Nichole has beaten me to it

I'm hoping to find some boxes like the donut hole boxes that Dunkin has. Here's keeping my fingers crossed. You might also find some decorative plates and colored cellophane.
