I'm SOOOOO Proud of my Kids!!!
As most of you know we had already gone through their rooms, clothes, toys, ect for the fall fling!
Today I was telling hubby about a family near my Mom who is in trouble, with 3 kids, 6 girl, 11 boy, and 13 boy! They wont be able to afford a Christmas for their kids.
MY BUTT!!!!!
So, our 12 and 9 year old girls come out with a stack of saddle club books, a giant stuffed sheep dog, some of their spare jackets, gloves and hats, a pretty purple stuffed unicorn, a plug and play game set with candyland, hungry hungry hippo's, match game in it, 2 disney princess DVD's and a barbie ropunzel (sp) dvd, and a barbie swan lake DVD!!!
(I'm freakin cryin I am so proud!!!)
Our 13 and 7 year old boy's Come out with a spare winter jacket, mittens and a hat, a hotwheels race track and several hot wheels cars, the computer game seaworld tycoon and monopoly, a dvd of the page master and dr. doolittle, a couple of books and their huge stuffed st. bernard dog!
Then our 15 year old (who just had his birthday last night) Brings out harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban PS2 game and need for speed 2 PS2 game (we were told their grandparents got them a PS2 a couple Christmas's ago!), his 2nd winter jacket and a extra pair of gloves and cool beanie for their 13 year old! And a couple of his Tom Clancey hard back books!!!
I threw together a basket of home made soaps, made her some nice lavender bath salts and put it in one of my old jars with extra loofa's I had for making baskets, and some of my home made ginger lotion and made the hubby a good basket to munch on while his wife spoils herself in the bath!!
I am so F'in proud of my kids, and us, for successfully teaching them, to be completely selfless and we never asked them to do anything, they just over heard me telling hubby about it!!!Proud wife to Randy

Ah, that is so sweet! You should be proud.
So... how's about a recipe for that lotion?

I just lovelovelove hearing and reading about this kind of stuff! Your kids are filled with the true spirit of Christmas. You have every right to be bursting with pride. You don't come across kids like yours everyday!

Well, I found 2 HUGE gift bags to put the GIANT stuffed dog's in and when we got there the husband helped us unload and tried to pull off that "manly, I'm not emotional" Crap!!!
Didn't work, he burst into tears when we showed him the gifts and It was so freakin heart warming, I should have kept my kids home to go see what their selflessness did, but then I would not have been able to fit everything into the Suburban!!!!
I feel so damned good, I think I might bake something now!!!Proud wife to Randy
