Cool Has anyone noticed fewer Christmas cards this year?

We are about fifty percent less on the cards we would normally get. I wonder is anyone seeing this? Maybe we have been naughty this year, as we try to be as much as possible. I just don't see how other people know this.

I haven't even gotten one from my insurance agent and usually that's the first one of the year!

I have noticed the same, I have gotten several from my frugal friends through the card swap, but at this time I have only gotten one from people we know in real life. I did send out cards to the people I do every year.

Yes, way less Christmas cards this year. We have received only 7 this year ( so far). But I do have to admit I have received a letter in each card mostly hand written so that is a very pleasant surprise.

Maybe the prices, Maybe time- Thanksgiving was late this year so there really was less time between the holidays.

I'll make sure to write my best friends again in the new year, just to let them know I really want to hear from them ( and to make sure everything is okay).

Yup. We've gotten three. One from the inlaws and one from my parents and one from an old high school friend.

BUT! I'm only just getting around to addressing & mailing mine out this week. I am waaaay behind this year.

I have noticed over the past few years ours has been dwindling. I have started waiting until later to send them out just so no one sends me a card just because I send them one. I think if they think of me and want to send me one fine, but not just because I sent them one.

We've only gotten 4, and one was from a business associate. It just makes me sad. I'm mailing ours out tomorrow. I guess the economy has a little to do with it too.

I think that with all the job losses, people are opting not to send cards this year.

We've gotten three, two from my cousins and one from the apartment complex we live in. I haven't sent any out though, so I don't really feel bad. I have some to send, but I wanted to put pictures of DS in them, and those won't be here until monday, so there won't be much time to send them. I think I'll just deliver the pictures personally to most people.

I have gotten about half of what I usually do. Either people aren't sending them or they are just really late? Or maybe I made some people mad lol.

We have only received one card so far.

I have noticed that there are less and less cards every year for the last 5 years.

Family: Three cards (including from the insurance company), two letters.

This is WAY down from previous years. I'm not sending any.

The kids just received one each from a great aunt. I love my kids so much. This great aunt sends them cards for holidays and birthdays, usually late. For oldest DD's birthday she got a punch-out princess crown, today she got a baby tigger on her card. She says to me, from the wisdom of her nine years, "Great Aunt Pat just has a hard time remembering how we are all growing up. It's nice that she thinks of us and sends cards; I don't care that they are baby-ish for me".
