Default I am going to ORGANIZE our Christmas decorations!

For 2008, I had to dig through several boxes to get the early-Christmas stuff out (Advent calendars, candles, etc.) As the season wore on, I had to dig through the same boxes for mid-season stuff such as Christmas wrap and party supplies. Finally, on Christmas Eve, I had to dig through those bins because DH wanted to put out luminarias.

    THIS YEAR WILL BE BETTER!

I currently have out table half-covered with a bunch of Christmas stuff to put away. Usually, I'd cram them into the first space I'd find. This year, though, I want to organize better. Advent. Parties. Outdoor decor. Gift wrap. Tree and stockings.

It's a big up-front job, and the house will be a mess while I figure it out, but I think it'll pay off in the long run.

    Right?

You're right, it will help. It makes things so much easier if all in one place.

My Christmas decorations are all organized, all in one place. I have a small cupboard above a linen closet where I store mine. Lights are in on box, decorations in another and snowman in their own place. Quick and easy to find everything when Christmas comes around.

Great job on wanting to get them all organized.

that's a good idea, i have all of my decorations in one huge box, but it would be nice to have them separated by the order in which they go up

good for you. I have all of mine in two rubbermaid tubs (I don;t have too much for Christmas decorations) - but it's nice to have them all in one place and know JUST where they are.

I just did this when putting away our decorations and with the new items I just purchased. I am so glad I did. It makes things so much easier for next year.
