any ideas for a homeade present that can fit in a Christmas card?
it could also fit in one of those small padded envelopes also.
The kids generally make something to send in the Christmas cards to family. This is generally the present as well for great grandparents, great aunts/great uncles ect.
In the past we have: made homemade notecards for them to use, made bookmarks, made post it note folders for purses use.
Anyone have any ideas?

How about seed packets? You can print packets or do origami packets.

My first thought was bookmarks... so many options... crochet, cross-stitch, pressed flowers, kids pictures...
Another thought is - an ornament. Can be made out of paper, maybe one that has a picture of the kids on it with ages & date.
Coupons can also be mailled, one for a phone call, one for a card later in the year, one for a school picture yet to come.

My husband is a commander for the Rangers. His group took a group picture of all of them and presented the commaders with a very nice framed picture fridge magnet.
That might be a nice gift for the family, to have a framed picture of your family to hang on their ice box.~~~

How about small home-made magnets? I used to do them using plastic canvas and yarn, and some of them are so pretty. I've made several different designs as shower favors that were well received. The supplies are very cheap. If you already have a decent supply of yarns, we're talking about $.50 for a sheet of plastic canvas. They sell booklets for making them, but I was thinking that your library might have something too.
I went ahead and found this. You'll find alot of ideas besides just magnets here>
