Polly,
so glad you sent me to that website. In Jan in Cancun we went to walmart and they had those cookies on that page. I was just thinking about them and there is a recipe to make them.
Thanks

I learned that as a feather tree. Every now and then Martha S. has one either in a magzine pic, or on her show. Its very pretty and wuld look great in a sewing/craft/hobby room.
Can't wait to see yours!

I'm totally into that French romantic bedroom decor. When I get my sewing/closet/dressing room finished it will be will a French feel to it Thinking of mixing some modern pieces like the lamps and mirrors in silver instead of gold, maybe a bit sleeker lines instead of so much adornment. But of course it would not be French without the chandelier, thought maybe I'd go for one in silver instead of gold. I have fabric that has a toile look to it that I plan on using in that room, I like toile, it never goes out of style. It's all in the planning stages but I have the fabric I need, the simple dressing table and an oval mirror that I'm iffy on using, it needs adornment. I just need to finish my son's room and the bathroom before I start on that project. I've got a bunch of irons in the fire right now on projects.
Laurie, I just love feather trees (real ones are major $$$$ my in-laws deal with that kind of stock in their business. If, I said I wanted one I'd have one for sure, their just that way. However I think it would be fun create this look) not sure how to recreate feather branches, however I was thinking about other types of materials spray painted. I'm positive that recreating the look of this tree would be doable. I've got to start keeping my eyes peeled for pieces that would work for this tree.
French Decor isn't for everyone, but there's just something so romantic about it, even country French. I'm quite partial to anything French. Even my favorite foods are French, (aside from Pa Dutch foods of course) and my family loves my efforts in the kitchen. Who could not love French food?~~~

So true Polly!! What if you used some of that new feathered yarn to make your tree? Do you keep a notebook of all your dreams and ideas?

Oh it's so lovely to see I have so many here who love French things too!
Hmm..Maui, I'll have to think on that yarn idea. Maybe do a branch or two and step back and give it a look and see what I think. Good idea! Thanks! And no, not really just files in my favorites files.~~~
