I think the bread maker and food processor should definately get put on DH's list (with the direction to check thrift stores and yard sales). TONS of people have bought or been given these 2 items and never use them, or try them out maybe once, and then they end up in the "to go" pile. I've seen bread makers for just a couple of bucks at yard sales before.

I've been away for a bit, but wanted to bump this...
anymore personal wishes for xmas?
I'm thinking about asking for some candy I'd never buy myself, but enjoy... and rarely ever have!

My dks are busy working on their lists so I've been thinking about mine a little here and there. I have a couple of cookbooks I would like and a salad spinner (I love mine but it broke so I would love a new one!) and GC's to the bookstore are always a treat!!

And Lora, as a crafter myself, I would love to receive something handmade and very seldom do. Funny isn't it?
I am getting DH a pressure cooker because I know that he wants one and also because I want to learn how to use one!!
A dehydrator without holes in it would be nice too!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I saw these plastic containers at Walmart about a year ago. 1L food storage with locking lids and 4 separate compartments. I think they would be great for the kids veggie snacks. $12 each though, so I always leave them there.
I told my mother I wanted one for Christmas, she was very annoyed. It bugs her that I don't just go out and buy myself the things I want.

The DVD set of the Ring cycle from the Metropolitan Opera. 14 CD's - hours and hours of Wagnerian sopranos and others. Sheer bliss.

Lora/Maui - I'm there with you.
I love making homemade gifts... there's that wonderful feeling of watching someone open something they like AND that they're suprised you actually made it _for_ them specifically.
I never receive anything handmade... and that's ok. Most people who I exchange gifts with don't do anything 'crafty' per se.
Monkeywrangler... you and I are a lot alike... I see stuff I like & never buy it either. lol
I need new winter gloves myself... I think I'll add that to my wish list.
I may even make myself a gift or two ... i'm thinking handmade slippers!

I would love a new crockpot. I use mine everyday and it is almost shot. I would also like some moisturizer that I can't afford myself.
