2009 Christmas Ornament Exchange
The following is what I copied from the second Christmas Ornament Exchange in 2005. Thought I should get something out if we are to be successful in our exchange this year. Please let me know of any changes/additions/deletions that you think should be made.
Please respond to this thread if your interested.
The rules for this exchange are:
~you must sign up by Sept. 25th. That way those who are in the exchange will know exactly how many ornaments to send out.
~ornaments can be made or purchased.
~they must be received by me by Nov. 15th no later - no exceptions so that they can be mailed out on the 16th of Nov. That way everyone gets their ornaments on time for Christmas.
~You will send as many ornaments as sign up, plus one for Sara. i.e. If there are 5 who sign up, you will send 6 ornaments. If there are 15 who sign up, you will send 16 ornaments. (Thought it would be nice to continue this tradition!!)
~[COLOR="Black"]please attach your user name to each ornament in some way so that other members will know who the ornament is from.
Who would like to be in this annual ornament exchange?
Please sign up here.Last edited by mauimagic; 09-14-2009 at 02:01 AM. Reason: cleaning up the printing

This sounds like fun but it could get expensive if many sign up. What Madhen said.

don't know what the more recent ones ended with - I'll check later - but in 2005, there were only 10 entrants. I tell you - it really is okay - and you are so thoughtful!! Not to worry - it's part of my celebration!!

I just want to say thank you. It's very kind and generous of you for thinking of me. And thank you for hosting and managing this. It's a lot of work.

Well, I'm in, MM, but if we get a lot of participants, I'd like to chip in to help defray shipping costs.

Sara - you are certainly welcome. I am so thankful to you for supporting us at FV. When I hear of all the online activities that friends and relatives are involved with - I know that FV is the right place for me. You have created a place where we can all share ideas, knowledge, fears, successes - with a base of integrity and strong values. And as for the exchange - it may be work, but sure is a heck of a lot of fun too!!
Madhen and Luckybustert - you are in!! Glad you joined us!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Maybe each participant could put in a dollar? Regardless, please let me know if you want help with shipping, too. With you, madhen and I, chipping in, it would be cheaper.

I'm not sure how the chipping in works and how you go about it, but I would love to be in this exchange.
I had a lot of fun last year with the Christmas card exchange and I am a sucker for ornaments.

Palooka - I am so glad that you are joining in!! No chipping in needed - mahalo!! Your (and all the participants) job is to make ornaments - and have fun doing so!! So get those creative juices flowing!!
Do you know what you are going to make? I do and I'm not telling!!
