Default Gift ideas for those with everything

I'm having a little difficulty trying to find or make gifts for those with everything.

What ideas do you all have?

    Thanks!

    that is tough, isn't it?
these are gifts you want to make?
have you considered baked goods, jams, jellies?

I would like to make aprons this year with recycled fabric.
I've given rice bags for heating in the microwave together with homemade bath salts in the past.

If you are going to buy ... I like gift certificates.

I think gift cards to go out to eat or the local pizza joint would be nice. Gift cards to the bookstore they could get a book, magazine, a cd, dvd. Or when all else fail how about scratch lotto tickets.

Edible things. I always give edible stuff to people who just have too much in their house or just "have everything".

How about a donation in honor of them to a charity? Hospice took wonderful care of my grandmother, so it is easy to make donations in honor of family members.

We are in that category- too much stuff already & few needs/ wants. I told my kids & step kids this summer if they wanted an idea for Christmas they could get us a new pool towel or pool toy when they are on sale.
My DD # 1 likes to replenish my makeup. DD #2 has fixed me up a basket of foot lotions / cotton balls etc. My SS & his DW take a picture of their kids (or the whole family) & put it in a frame for us each Christmas. I love all of those. I don't want anyone spending a lot of money on us. It's fun to see what they come up with without spending a fortune. My kids get my DH a junk food bucket. they get a bowl or bucket & add all his favorite junk food. Chips, popcorn, nuts, candy. Be creative & think about who it is for.
When my mother in law was alive I always got her a fresh green centerpiece before Christmas, then I learned how to make them myself. She always looked forward to it, it made her house smell good & she didn't have to maintain it.

    Great ideas!

I often give homemade salsa and a bag of chips. If the people like spicy food I include a jar of jalepeno relish.

This is a perfect situation to give them things they use regularly & they can run out of. The ingredients to their favorite recipe perhaps, their favorite kind of wine/beer/alcohol, etc.

Then just package it nicely. For example, my mom loves the restaurant On The Border, they don't have it in Nebraska, so we always eat there when she comes to visit me. Now they are selling that brand in the stores (margarita buckets, queso dip, chips) so I am getting her a bottle of tequila w/ the margarita bucket & some chips and queso so she can enjoy it back home!

    Working on:
    Get under 200 lbs. 44/47lbs

Just in case you hadn't tried them...the margarita buckets are awesome! Sam's sells them here for about $4.50.

    Food gifts are great!

I plan on buying a package of strawberries, a bag of pretzels, a few big nuts from the bulk section at the store, and a package of oreos and dipping them in dark, milk, and white chocolate (I'm going to mix it up and drizzle on top of each other etc to look fancy). Then I'm going to get a big tin with a lid for each family, fill with little white baking cups, and fill those with the homemade assortment of goodies! Easy peasy!
My grandma requested that I make cracker toffee this year, too, so I'll probably include some of that and maybe a few of my easy truffles (melt a can of frosting and a bag of whatever flavored baking chips you like - i like chocolate mint and refrigerate until firm, roll into balls, roll into any topping you would like).

This will be SUPER easy because I'll be making ONE batch of each item and just dividing it between all the family gifts....and it'll look like it took a lot of effort

Yes that can be difficult. You could get a basket and fill it with different types of food that someone likes. Or make it a themed one such as pasta, sauce, wine bottle and a movie like the godfather.

I would give one person movie packages that you buy at the theater. It had tickets, and coupons for the snack bar. They loved the idea of going to the movies for free.

How about a certificate for manicure, pedicure, facial. Something indulgent. Even a massage would be great.

If you have a local theatre you could give them tickets to a play or musical event.

Depending on how much you have to spend you could buy them a night at a quaint bed and breakfast that is near by. You could even go in with some other people for a gift like this.
