Default Can I Have A Proud Moment for My Kids

I took the kids to the local Santa on Saturday morning (free I might add with cocoa and cookies thrown in). My 6yo asked for a stuffed unicorn, 8yo asked for a used (lol, yes he specified) ds game and my 11 yo (who came to help with 2yo) asked for socks. Santa and his elves were shocked and kept asking them if there wasn't something else they wanted and they said no. Either they're good kids or we've brainwashed them. Oh, and two of the older ones have come to me separately and said they know things are tight and we didn't need to get them stuff for Christmas. Kinda makes me misty eyed. At least until they do something irritating.

You have every right to be proud!!! You've taught them well. Wow, definitely impressive.

That is so sweet, they are catching on to your frugal ways. Did you write it down in a memory book?

My oldest has always asked for a surprise when on Santa's knee and that has thrown many a Santa.

This year being older He said, he told me he wants anything from Santa "As long as it comes from his heart" LOL

Wow! I wish my two girls chose something like that! You have some good-mannered children...especially the older two realizing that things are tight and they might not get exactly what they ask for. Very cute!

That is very heartwarming. I love it when kids want simple things instead of lists upon list of wants. You should be very proud.

Good job, Momma!!! That is a difficult accomplishment in this "I want everything right now and I want it all and I deserve it too" society.

I would certainly be proud of them. Enjoy. They grow up way to fast. My kids are 34, 30, and 23, but it was only yesterday that they were babies.
