Does your employer have a holiday party?
If so, are spouses/SO's invited? DH's company won't be having one this year due to financial constraints, but when they have in the past, spouses/SO's were not invited.
Where I used to work we had the best parties--dressy parties on dinner cruises or in nice hotels. I loved to dress up and go. I haven't been to a party like that in several years....

Dh's work place just started this. We went last year, but are not going this year. Matter of fact, it is tomorrow night.
***REVISED***
I was wrong it is this Saturday afternoon. Dh came home from work today and he was told by the boss he better be there. I think they are having a surprise for him. He is retiring in Jan. So it looks like we are going.~~ Dee ~~

My husbands is tomorrow night at the country club. I am in a crisis as to what to wear. I went shopping last night, didn't find a thing that I liked that is in my budget. I'm trying again tonight.

DH company doesn't have one, that would be a joke. Imagine a bunch of heavy equipment operators hob nobbing at a holiday party-lol. DH does clean up nice, though.
The last office I worked always had a holiday party at schmoozy places that the doctor would get the drug reps to pay for
We've been to some places we would never go in our lifetime.
This year, at this new office, there is a luncheon at a nice restaurant for everyone in the office-no spouses. One of the girls I work with is hosting a party at her house for everyone plus spouses and we are all bringing something-like a potluck. Should be fun.

We're having Bowling Bingo tomarrow night! It's a blast. I've worked for Mary before and she throws a great Christmas Party! You can bring as many family members as you like!

Our company has 1500 employees just at our plant so they have a party for the kids, the give each child under 12 a gift which the parent gets to pick out of a catalog and there is entertainment and of cours Santa. But the rest of us are on our own. The ladies on my crew have our own get together. We usually all dress up and go out some where nice to eat and exchange presents by drawing numbers.

Our office always has one; sometimes it is hosted by our founder at his and his wife's home, and other times it has been held at a hotel in downtown Washington, D.C. I went to only 2 office parties in the 7 years I've been employed by this company. I generally stay away from office functions!

DH's company used to throw Christmas parties with a dance, but not any more. They still have a party, but for employees only.
My employer has a dinner party. They reserve space at a nice restruant and we all go out to eat. DH's/SO's are invited.~*Michelle*~

Dh's employer used to have a party and everyone (spouses and children) were invited. Now they just take the employees out to eat (usually on a Sat. night) and spouses and children are not invited.

The company I work for is just 9 of us. The boss takes us for supper. Spouses are not invited. Bosses hubby won't attend so none of our can even if they paid their own! GRR. We all pitch in 10-15 for a gift or the boss. Then the 8 employees and the boss all bring a 0$ gift to exchange.
Dh works for a company out of state so no party there. We have no idea if there is a bonus or not.
The company he used to work for had the best partys! Semi formal, great food, open bar, hotel rom paid for, they even gave every lady a long stem red rose and paid for a5x7 portrait. Plus they got a holiday bonus. It was great.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

DH's company has one for GM's and they can bring their spouse.
Not sure when or where it will be this year. When we were in Lumberton the GM party last year was in Charelston, SC and they had it after Chrsitmas since they do so much business themselves with Christmas parties.

The hospital always has a fancy dinner/dance- I've never attended in the 15 years I've worked there.
Each unit generally has their own party-- and we did until a few years ago. We were at our party when they called to tell us that a coworker had fallen asleep at the wheel on his way home from work and was killed. He left a 3 yo son and 2 week old daughter. We haven't felt like having a party since.
Spouses are invited to both parties.

My dh's company has a big party for the kids every year, last year was the first year we went...lol... they give gifts to the kids and have Santa Clause..... They have it at a local kids club so there is pizza, a movie and games for the kids... we took my niece with us last year...
They also have a party for the adults..... its $5 per person and spouses are invited...they give out expensive door prizes and have catered food... we went a couple of years ago and won a dvd player.... we were going to go last year but I didn't want to or trust ds with anyone.... I enjoyed it but dh doesn't like to go.... so we probably won't go this year either.
