    Question Do you entertain on Christmas Eve?

    I usually have the immediate family over after church just for punch and picky-things. Then DH starts his marathon wrap session-he's up all night-lol. He's crazy!

    We usually have just the kids and grandkids here on Christmas Eve. We open gifts then. Works out well for our children so they can spend Christmas Day at their in laws. DH is on duty on Christmas Day this year so, Christmas Eve will be our only chance to be together.

    We usually spend the evening at the in-law's. Mil cooks a big meal and we open presents and sometimes play games.

    I have a party every year on Christmas Eve. It's something my aunt started when I was little, and I have such fond memories of those parties that I decided to do it too. I invite mainly family but also a few close friends as well.

    For years we had Open House Christmas Eve. Anyone was welcome and I cooked & baked for days to get ready. But this year it will be just the kids coming home and a few close friends.

    We do the traditional Italian Catholic multi-fish Christmas eve. Just family, immediate and if there are extra cousins etc around they all know to come. We also open family gifts that night.

    I miss christmas eve at home, we always went to my aunts house. had so much fun, the whole family was there. Now we go to the inlaws so that they can see the children open gift. then it is home to get ready for santa.
