Question What do you eat for Christmas dinner?

For us it's ham, potatoes, shoepeg corn in butter sauce, rolls/bread, green bean casserole, cole slaw-YUM all prepared by my own mom.

Usually I make roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, macaroni and cheese, and biscuits. And cookies or cake for dessert.

Mom always makes dinner. Ham, mashed potatoes, at least 2 veggies, dinner rolls and so many extras like, stuffed celery, pickles (2 kinds) olives (2 kinds), deviled eggs and usually a fresh veggie tray with dip or cheese, crackers and pepperoni. Candy dishes everywhere and dishes of nuts. She also serves a fruit cup or glass of tomato juice. Cookies and more cookies for dessert!

We have build your own fajitas or soft tacos, refried beans with cheese and chips, salsa, spanish rice, salad, all the toppings, and a pumpkin dessert with coolwhip. I can't make pie crust, so this is more like a dump cake type thing, but really yummy. Also cookies or brownies and hm snack mix.

We haven't decided on a final menu this year, but we will probably have ham, stuffing, corn, green bean casserole, homemade mac & cheese, squash casserole, some kind of bread or rolls and a Happy Birthday Jesus cake.

My Mom always made Ham & potato salad when we were growing up,, with 4 kids on x-mas day it was easier for her just to heat them ham up then make a big meal.
So we have stuck with that tradition

A wide assortment of things since everyone brings something to Dave's Nana's....usually there's ham, lamb, turkey, tons of treats, and lots of side dishes. He comes from an Italian family, so there is always a TON of food.

Christmas dinner is generally a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner for us. Neither of us likes ham and I have thus far not been very creative in making something different. LOL
