I think I'm going to add some cocoa mixes for DS1. He can't get enough of cocoa.

Reindeer poop is on the list for a few of the guys. I'll also be making armchair quaterback cans for my Fil, Bil & DH. I'll put in a bad call sponge brick, and homemade beef jerky, some homemade candy, and ranch pretzels.

I have several pairs of slippers to make. A scrapbook for DS1's GF. I already have the scrapbook, just need a few supplies like paper etc.

I plan on going on a big trip with my Mom to the craft store Oct 1st. The place is huge!

Great idea Polly - Armchair quarterback cans - are you making your own brick sponges - if so - how please? This might be perfect for my BIL - mahalo!!

Your trip to the huge craft store is coming up!! Make sure you have a list or you might come home with nothing (not likely I'm sure!!)

Maui, I was going to purchase sponges in the size and shape of bricks, cutting them if necessary. Then paint them in a brick red color. I thought I'd stencil the words bad call brick on it.

I was going to buy empty paint cans and adhere fabric in their favorite football team theme. Not sure about the top though.

And yes! I do need to write out a list or I just might not remember just what I need to buy. This place is awesome and it's easy to get distracted.

Hey Polly - I found this someplace online after reading your post
    .................

    Bad Call Brick
    • A brick-sized sponge may be used as is or dip it in brickish-colored, watered down paint and squeeze.
    • If sponge is pre-moistened with sanitizer, rinse it good.
    • Dry sponge in the dryer to make it more dense like a real brick. This also rounds the edges a bit like a real brick.
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

You are so welcome!! I'm going to use a coffee can for my armchair quarterback gift - I've been collecting them to use for gifts.

    That's a good idea Maui!

I was hoping that the dollar store would carry some sports bloopers DVD's that I could add to the gift. They had them last year. Crossing my fingers.

Middle ds: a Dollar Tree hedgehog, Foaming Monster Puke bubble bath, popsicle soap, Devil Sticks, duct tape wallet

Youngest ds: a Dollar Tree hedgehog, a Chemistry set, foaming Monster Puke bubble bath, fish in a bag soap, maybe some kind of cool paper toy

My Mom: a roll-up holder for her knitting needles maybe using the Dollar Tree crafts idea of using a placemat, clothespin angel ornament for her tree (she collects angel ornaments and most of the ones she has, I made for her), wool dryer balls, custom decorated rubber gloves for washing dishes (found a neat decorating site for this...think lace, feathers, etc.)

My Dad: a shadowbox frame with their Doxie's pic in it with doggie bisquets glued around her pic (I have the directions saved for this), a customized Rubik's cube with pics of their dog on it (He's crazy about the dog!!)

My Dh: haven't found anything yet

My dog and my parents' dog: a doggie fleece

    So what's everyone else making?
Wow! I've been looking for two days for this list..thought I'd never find it!
