Get this I've had candy canes for 3 years and just kept reusing them. No one would eat them thats why they just kept being reused, finally tossed them out and will need to get more this year. If anyone would eat them that would be fine.

We put them on our tree, and it's fine if people take them off and eat them, but I have another box in my cabinet for the kids if they want some. Otherwise, they'll want to eat ALL of the ones on the tree.

The only ones we have on the tree are the pony bead/chenille stem candy canes ds has made this year. I never have put real candy canes on the tree.
