What do YOU like getting for Xmas?

I don't enjoy Xmas. I really wish it would go away. However, my husband (as some have read) is like a little kid, so "that time of the year" is his favorite time. He loves giving presents! I'm like that as well - I love giving, but I couldn't care less about receiving.

My question to you, since I'm guessing some of you are like me - what do YOU want for Xmas? What would YOU like to open that morning?

I never can tell anyone what I want because I never want anything. However, I'm told I'm not hard to buy for.

So come on - what do you want?

I like clothes so I can try on different styles that I wouldn't normally spend the money on to buy myself. Last Christmas my sil bought me a shirt that a % of the purchase went to a dog charity. That meant a lot to me, it has a little tag that says how many "bowls of dog food" it bought, etc. Anything that gave to someone else makes me feel special, as if I contributed myself? Hard to explain but it makes me feel good when she does that.

I like things that are eco-friendly, my crafty sil also made us little shopping bags out of cute design material, I use them for everything! Particularly for bringing stuff back and forth to work.

I like money (does that sound shallow?) because so much of my own funds are difficult to spend on myself that I like the guilt-free feelings of Christmas or Birthday money.

Yah, I suck at this money stuff, I know. That's why I'm here.

I love gift cards! If people ask, that's what I tell them.

I usually am given gift cards to the movies, wal-mart, the mall, local restuarants, hair salon.

I love them! I can get treated all year long!

I like useful things usually....a new food processor, replacements of things that have broken in the last year, etc. I don't do jewelry usually but I did ask dh for a necklace this year. I'd also like the KnitPicks interchangeable needles set

Would REALLY like an eReader, but I think that will wait until after Christmas

I like things from garage sales and thrift shops! I enjoy scrapbooking materials, books, and bubble bath. And all of those can be found at the sales and shops mentioned above. To me, the gift is even better when it has been obtained CHEAP!

    i like yankee candles rose
colonial candles red apple and balsam fir

any candles fruity or floral or piney.

    jigsaw puzzles
    kitcheny stuff
    sewing notions
    barnes and noble gift cards
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow

My now dil made me a picture of my 3 ds and grandson like a scrspbook page last year. One of my favorite gifts ever. I also like to receive things that I won't spend the money on myself.

Just like happy dope and dh; my favorite is buying everyone gifts and getting them something that they really want.

Nice cologne, Gift Cards (to give myself treats throughout the year), useful things like kitchen items and the such.

I often ask for something I already have, but ask for the upgraded model. If my vacuum is really old, then I ask for a new one. My idea is to head off the "OMG, I need a vacuum!" panic.

I want 'actions' more than gifts... I have THINGS.

For Mothers Day I always get the same thing, and it's exactly what I want... pancakes made by Old Man and Diva...

Pretty much the same thing for Yule... I want a de-cluttered living room so I can take cute holiday pictures, a cleared off dining table so we can have a yummy dinner.

The only 'materialistic' thing I look forward to is whatever Diva has made me and Old Man fills my stocking with odds and ends (things I wouldn't buy for myself)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!
