    Default Yep...it's mine.

I was originally going to do daisy-like flowers. I have cardboard flowers that were intended for scrapbooking, and was going to do that, with a little stuffing, two circles in the center and stitching. When I cut out the flowers they were TOO big, I didn't have enough felt....and it didn't look very good, so what to do?

I cut one of the "flowers" in half and was playing around with it, and rolled it up. That reminded me of bluebells and so I kept fiddling with it. The "stamens" are triangles of yellow felt and the "caps" are the size of the small circles I'd intended to use in the center. The bead is because I couldn't figure out another way to make it look "finished" on top...and the embroidery thread hanger is because I had it out; I was going to do the stitching with it..

The "pattern" was literally was born of desperation. I was already later than I'd expected and my "easy" idea didn't work at the last minute, so I had to fake it. This is what I came up with. I like it well enough that if we get a tree this year, I'll make some more for just us!

    Thanks for the kind words!
