i solved this problem a few years back. i feel like so much gets wasted with wrapping , money paper time etc we use to get done opening gifts and have a sea of paper on the floor - when we cleaned it up something some small part or instructions was always found to be MIA a day later UGH
santas gifts have never been wrapped.
i use gift bags bought on DEEP clearance ( at least 80% off RV) or small ones made from paper lunch bags stamped with holiday designs with craft paint for gifts that are going outside the home.
i keep bags from getting tossed in the trash at any christmas gathering if no one is keeping them i will take them and re-use them .
i bought large fabric bags for 4 or 5$ each at the christmas tree shope a few years back - i have 7 -one for each of us any non santa non stocking gifts get put into those bags and they get put out under the tree for christmas day
i tried it one year and waited for possible negative comments and no one said a thing except my middle son who said "wow this is great we dont have to throw away a big bag of wrapping paper and lose instructions while cleaning it all up."
after christmas i take back the bags fold them up and store them for the next year .*~Debbi~*

Hate it. I am not good at it either. I do like things to match though. Not into character paper except maybe snowmen.

I don't give many gifts, so I don't have to wrap very many. Last year, I ordered a few gifts from Amazon, and they showed up with a bunch of brown paper for a box filler. I took that paper, wrapped the gifts, and then spent a couple of hours cutting pictures out of magazines and newspapers for decoration. I had a good time doing that, drinking a few beers, listening to music, terrorizing the cat with tape and making wrapping paper that looked like a slightly demented child put together.
So, basically, I don't mind wrapping presents.

i voted 'love it', but that's a pretty strong sentiment.

actually my hubby and i really get into wrapping gifts for the kids. especially as they get older and the gifts seem to get smaller and more expensive.
we've been known to not only wrap a small box into 10 more boxes and then having grandma 'call' (we did this last year when we got dd a cell phone....i've never seen a child unwrap 10 boxes so fast!), but to send them on a very elaborate detailed scavenger hunt to find their gifts. keeps them on their toes and they literally never know what to expect when they roll out of bed on christmas morning.
oh and we wrap some of the stocking stuffers too.

I do not like wrapping gifts. Mine look awful, paper is all jumbled at the corners, wrinkles, tape all over.I try to have mine giftwrapped at the store, otherwise my husband does it.He can make a neat seam on anything! We always have a matching theme.I like solid colors, no prints.I buy boxes and bags to help, if it's in one of those the kids always say"This is from Mom!"If it's in a package they always say"'Oh, thanks Dad, this looks great!"Grrrrrr.

I love wrapping gifts. Especially if I have good paper and ribbons to add on. The japanese have a special way of giftwrapping that I have always wanted to learn.

I love wrapping gifts. Christmas is the best for this; I usually do 90% of it in one night while watching a movie, drinking some hot beverage - preferably hot chocolate -with a whole pile of presents in front of me waiting to be wrapped. I especially love curling the ribbon with scissors to finish it off.

I try to wrap mine all in one day. I have to admit that I like the sound of curling ribbon with my scissors.
That is if I feel creative enough to use ribbon!

I love wrapping presents. Wesley helps me and he puts his stickers and stuff on the paper instead of bows and we are good to go!
I stay up late Christmas Eve wrapping up Santa presents and the stocking stuff gifts for the kids. That works out especially well this year since hubby works Christmas Eve and he and I always exchange our gifts to each other on CHristmas Eve.McD
