Our house is decorated for Christmas, how about yours?
As is our tradition, we decoarte for Christmas the morning after Thanksgiving. We also break out the Christmas music.
So the children and I decorated the house before breakfast in our PJs with the Christmas tune filling the air.
We couldn't wait. tee hee
What fun we had and the house is decorated for Christmas (except the Christmas tree which is a Christmas Eve day tradition in out house)
This afternoon we will work on a Christmas craft to give as presents.
Have you decorated?

Have all but one of the trees put up. Kids decorated the one in the front room, rest aren't decorated yet.
We usually put the trees up after everyone leaves on Thanksgiving but it was sleeting and then snowing so dh didn't want to go out to the storage shed and pull them out yesterday.Lisa

The ficus tree has white lights hanging on it all year long. Will probably wait until the middle of Christmas to decorate the tree and put up a couple of decorations. My place is small so the less there is out the more peaceful it seems.

I decorated on Tuesday. I like to have the tree up for Thanksgiving. Also Dh has been home on vacation this week so he was here to drag it all out of the attic for me.

I just finished just now. The tree is up, house with decorations, and I put a mini tree on the table by the doorway. I even put a few ornaments on my fake plant in the kitchen. heh. It looks so pretty and cozy.

Usually our tradition is the day after Thanksgiving.

Everything is decorated except the tree. That will wait until about the 15th since it is real this year. Traditions are changed a little this year due to DS in his first year of university. I miss him so much and he doesn't get home until the 20th! Boo hoo!

Our tree went up as soon as the Thanksgiving dishes were done. I have some of the gifts under it already... it looked a little lonely just sitting there

The mistletoe is hanging in its usual spot. The count down calendar is now on the door.
I am not going ALL out this year, but I will hang a few more items around the house and on the windows.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

My cats usually keep my tree company until I put gifts underneath.

Tradition is getting the tree up on Black Friday, but I'm just not ready this year.
I'm still decluttering and have to move furniture around to make room for the tree. Small house, the tree is in a different spot every year. I still have not figured out the best place for it yet.
But when I'm finally ready I'll pull out the Christmas tunes/Christmas VCR tapes and let the youngest decorate till his hearts content. I usually bake cookies while the boys (or the youngest decorates) But this year I promised myself no major cookie baking. I'll make homemade hot chocolate instead.
We didn't hang stockings last year, seems dumb to hang them without having a mantel, so we just filled them the night before Christmas and put them under the tree.
I've been scaling back on the Christmas decor, but I think this year I'll fill a stoneware vase with holly branches from our bushes. I'll hang the wreath on the front door. pull out the Christmas linens-table cloth etc.
Simplicity is my game plan this year.~~~
