    Thumbs up Saving online-Updated

Many of us know this but always check online for coupon codes to save money online. Type in the store name and coupon codes, you just might find a discount for free shipping, a percentage off... who knows. Today I needed a Christmas gift for someone especially after noticing that it was selling out on other sites. I had an old gift card with a small amount left on it ($6.59) & thought maybe they would have what I wanted. I found what I wanted on their site, googled Borders coupon code and found a code that would give me a percentage off. Entered that code where they wanted me to, entered my gift card code where they wanted me too and I saved about $7 using the coupon code. Woohoo. Never pay full price if you can spend a few minutes looking around and typing in a few letters & numbers. Go you & happy hunting for great deals.

I google EVERYTHING I need to get. My garbage disposal is not working right. I went to the library and looked up garbage disposals in consumer report. I came home and googled the best rated one. The list price in consumer report was $230. I got it from Amazon for $107; shipping included and lifetime warranty. The cheapest one I could find here and not as much hp was $169. Soo it does pay to check out things you need on the internet.

Oh don't forget to google for coupons you can use in the brick and mortar store before you hop in the car. From bookstores to restaurants, coupons are there just for the printing.

The fun continues. Just for giggles in google I typed in the name of the company who's product I bought as a gift (Wahl)and added the word rebate and bingo $5 more off. Woot!
Another thing that made me feel better is I bought the product for $23 on Amazon, now it's selling for $35.
Timing, time and a little luck pay off.
