Default Where do you hide gifts?

Or if you don't hide them, where do you keep them?

I am always intrigued by people that wrap and display gifts for weeks under the tree. That would never work out here. LOL But it must be so nice and pretty. I've had to change up my gift hiding through the years. We keep some in the garage and some in the work room in the basement, ya know where the boogeyman (boogieman? I give up) lives. LOL I don't wrap until Christmas Eve. It's a bit nuts, I know.

If this was already asked, just ignore me.

    lalalalalala.

I keep mine in my closet in my bedroom dd is only 2 so to little to go looking. I've had mind wrapped and under the tree for over a week now and the girls are doing so good not touching them! I have my dd who is 2, another 2 year old and a 18 month old here Monday-Friday and only one present got touched and it was one I moved to the kitchen to take to my presents! My parents use to hide theirs in the closet in the basement lol

The gifts that are wrapped and under my tree are gifts to family, friends, etc. We do have the tree partioned off with a baby gate to keep a certain Moo Cow from messing with them.

Santa presents are wrapped until Christmas Eve. They are currently hidden in my basement. Under 90 million blankets. So creative but Wesley isn't allowed in the basement without Zac or I.

I usually put them in a bag in my closet, this year I've been throwing them in a trunk that just happened to be empty. I don't hide them, just put them where they won't accidentally be seen. My oldest has never wanted to look and the younger ones don't think of it. I usually tell the oldest where they are so she doesn't stumble on to them by accident.

Having them under the tree wouldn't work either -- the dogs would have those packages ripped open in no time! I usually hide them in the closet or in the trunk of my car. I have to be careful not to forget I put them there though!

ha! this year they are still sitting on shelves at the store. Best hiding place I found yet.

WHen I do buy gifts I hide them mostly in my closet. Everyone knows that's a scary and dangerous place to go. ( I really need to get that closet tidy once more...) And it's a pain to get into. SO it's the best place. One year I hid all my dd's gifts in HER closet, up top in a box on the higheset shelf. They werent found. We have a broken down car in the pop up garage too, one year I hid hubby's gifts in the cab of that truck. But it got found because he saw foot prints leading to it in the snow and he wanted to be sure no one was messing with the truck. Good idea in theory, but I shoulda done something else since the footprints gave it away.

I too used to hide them in my closet and my closet was off limits. Now they are all wrapped up and sitting in a laundry basket in an unused bedroom.
I miss all the drama of keeping things hidden and secret.

I hide mine in the cleaning closet. I can't remember the last time DH or DS wanted to use a cleaning supply or do laundry, so it seemed like a good enough place for me!

I haven't had a need to hide them just yet...maybe next year? I usually wrap as much as I can in short bursts and hopefully get groups of people done. This year - I wrapped the gifts up ASAP for my sis b/c she was coming over to watch dad while I was away last wknd but even then...I hid them. Not sure if she snooped to find them or not. I still need to wrap DF's which is sitting in my car LOL

I don't. My ds could always guess when he was little. I have my tree in the MIL and will lock out all pets and put the gifts under for a picture. Right now they are stacked in the living room entertainment center.

When the kids were little, I hid everything in the artificial tree box. Everyone assumed it was empty!

Mine are in the closet. At some point before Christmas eve I will wrap them, just haven't got around to it yet. My closet is off limits at Christmas time.

I have a closet, office, car trunk, camper, other people's houses...
Usually hidden among/under other stuff. I keep my list handy and have locations written down next to the gift so I know where to find it.

I have some wrapped and under the tree (for family), but plan to finish shopping and wrapping everything tomorrow! Grandparents are taking the kids, except the baby, and I'll get it all done tomorrow.

No kids here and DH doesn't snoop, so I stash them anywhere out of sight that isn't going to get visited anytime soon. Sometimes in a dresser drawer. Last year they were in the big tubs I put extra fabric in. This year they were in the back of my craft supply closet. DH hides them in his office. I have no idea where.

This year the tree went up Monday. We've been putting presents to each other under it a little each day. We'll open them Sunday, before we leave to visit family for the week.
