Thoughts/ guidance please!
Happy holidays to all! You have all given me the best Christmas gift just by being here! I have been so inspired the last month or so! So thanks! Now for my question: I have a wonderful, but hard to shop for daughter in law.(who is btw pregnant with their first child).I have thought and thought and finally decided that I can't find her anything in the stores and I would make her a Pamper me basket. So does anyone here have any ideas of what to put, and how to make it special, or any websites to go to to get ideas? I really appreciate it! Her gift will complete all my shopping! Thanks again.

My only suggestion is to be cautious of anything with aromatherapy oils in it. I was told to stay away from aromatherapy oils during both of my pregnancies. Also, some women are told not to take hot baths during pregnancy, so just keep that in mind if you buy any bath salts/oils/suds.
My ideas would be:
- a nice foot/leg lotion for the aches
- one of those foot massaging gadgets that you put on the floor and run your feet back and forth over
- a refreshing body wash
- cocoa butter
- cozy slippers
- voucher for massage at pre-natal massage therapist (if pregnancy is not high risk)
- some delicous fancy hot cocoapersonal loan 900/15000

I would say a rice pack warmer/chiller thing maybe some cocoa butter or Shea butter lotion to rub on the belly.
And some comfy slippersReba

All those things are good ideas, but so would ideas like gift certificates for meals out or to be delivered for those days she doesn't feel too good. Mani/pedi/massage might be good choices, and if her skin is especially sensitive now, things in soft fabrics like soft socks/slippers/shawls.

Well since this a frugal board, i'll suggest my frugal ideas, having just been pregnant
my favorite is always a parents to be or mother to be ornament, especially for the first
some super comfy socks
some nice lotion, not scented if she's prone to nautia
favorite chocolate treat
other favorites for those cravings
hair things if she wears her hair that way
bubble bath (if she likes baths)
a fancy water bottle to make sure she stays hydrated
and a little something for the future baby...that always pleased me to no end...and you can also jam all this in a stocking instead of a basket if you wish

How soon is she due? If she's getting close, you could also do home-made "coupon" offers to help out after baby. "1 free baby-free night", "1 free house vacuuming" Focus on her, not baby, as much as you can.
