The gift was more of a gesture - us kids/siblings threw dad a surprise birthday party this year for his 80th and the kids that didn't get along sucked it up and put their differences aside as this day was for dad. We managed to gather long lost friends and family as well and when he walked in, he literally thought he was going to have a heart attack he was so quiet in awe and shock
Seeing his face/reaction throughout the whole night was priceless b/c he was truly happy and felt loved and was very proud of us kids, as no one has ever thrown him a birthday party let alone a surprise one.

a good friend of mine put together a shutterfly picture book for my son's birthday this past November. We were new friends but had spent alot of time together over the year.
My son didn't care much about it but it brought me to tears. I forgot all of the things that had done together and it really meant alot to me that she put "our year" in a permanent book.
Our friendship has since grown and I cherish it very much.Judy
