Our story of tears in the eyes
Tear were brought on my a present my mother gave my daughter.
My mom gave Little Miss one of the Modern American Girl Dolls.
Little Miss was over joyed to see this doll as she wasn't expecting her. She was saving up for it and it felt like it was going to "take forever". Her eyes welled up with tears of joy when she opened her doll. She lifted the doll still in for the box up to give the doll a kiss. Here eyes were over brimming with tears by now. Hubby who was watching the whole thing started to tear up too. Later he told me he had to tell himself not to cry.
PS. her doll hasn't left her side.

The gift I received from my son. This past year has been difficult financially getting him ready for university and he knows the sacrifies we have gone through so he can be there.
I received a crystal plaque of a saying he wrote himself. It says...
If I ever need a hug or to know that someone cares,
It's so comforting to know your love is always there.
Merry Christmas
Love, Luke
That brought me to tears yesterday morning.Dh Bob

This got me laughed at, lol.
Not that hubby is this big drinker or anything but I know that one of his favorite things is the name brand Jack Daniels whiskeys but we can't afford them. Ds bought him a nice collection of 3 them in a decorative box. He was opening it & I couldn't wait to see his reaction and yes I got teary eyed because I knew it was something that he couldn't /wouldn't buy for himself & knew that he was really going to enjoy it. He'll still have some of that gift left many months from now because he'll try to make it last as long as he can. So I cry seeing people happy, what's wrong with that, lol?! Nothing.
He's got it all set up on my dining room buffet table looking all nice for the world to admire.

i dont cry in public ( i hold in in and bawl in private LOL )
but the fact the oldest two kids chipped in and bought dh and i a new 26" flat screen tv for our bedroom warmed my heart .
they also checked to make sure it would fit and we wouldnt have to buy anything new to use it, they measured our TV cabinet we have ( which we got for 10$ at a yardsale about 4 years ago ).
they know dh retreats to the BR for down time and to watch some religious programming and they know with my fibro i spend alot of time in there in the winter as the family room is yoo chilly so i am in the BR with the younger two watching while under a heating blanket sometimes i also catch up on paperwork for work .
our old TV was about 8 years old- pic wasnt great on off button was missing ,
i never realized how bad the pix was until we put the new one
in - it was like putting glasses on and seeing clear all of a sudden.*~Debbi~*

Well it sounds weird but a starbucks coffee mug made me cry. See I was shopping at Target with my 15 year old the other day and there is a starbucks right by the register. I LOVE coffee mugs. My whole family teases me about it. Anyhow, I admired this white mug that said Starbucks on it but I loved the shape. Kind of short and squat. Well it was 7.95 and I just can't spend that kind of money on 1 cup and certainly not for myself when I have gifts to buy. Well my daughter and my dh went out Friday morning for some last minute stuff and my daughter insisted they go back to starbucks and get the mug. It made me cry that she saw I wanted it and actually remembered and went back for it .
I made my brother cry with a collage photo in a frame of his autistic 4 year old he is raising with them help of my parents. He said it was his favorite gift.
My Mom cried when she got a porcelein angel from my brother of an angel and a little boy meant to represent my autustic sweet nephew Tyler.Kim

I was touched to tears that my sister-in-law bought for my dogs. She bought them tennis balls and 40 lbs of dog food. She didn't know what brand of food I bought but she had actually memorized or jotted down what I had said they were allergic to. Allergy-free food can be pretty expensive, I was shocked to receive it!
Everyone knows I love my dogs, but then they are stumped on what to get me. She got it this year, she really understood that they are my world. She then got me a long-sleeved shirt that said "Owned by a Bloodhound". Yup. I sure am.

On another note, my mom wrote me a REALLY nice email the evening of Christmas Day to make sure that I knew how much her gifts meant to her and more nice things after that. I'll be keeping that email for a long time.LDR

The only thing that brought me to tears this year was when my foster kids (who we are in the process of adopting) and I took gifts to the children's home and this little 7 year old girl was sitting there admiring the gifts and as we were about to leave, she yelled form the other side of the room......................MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

No tears but a bunch of happy smiles.
DH accidentally bought me the wrong size track pants. I did the obligatory trying on of them and they fit!! Woo hoo!!
We bought each kid a big overstuffed soft fluffy floor pillow. They love them and have been carrying them all over the house.
I purposely bought DH pants a size down from what he has been wearing. He has lost weight but cannot divorce himself from his old sizes. He put them on and realized they look good.

I asked my husband to a paint special nests for our mothers, sisters, and two of my bestfriends [each nest included the number eggs to represent the number of children they had, a few have had miscarriages so their angel babies were represented by a feather].
He surprised me by painting a special one for me...never expected this, and love it!!

About 14 years ago. my boy's gave their grandmother a memory jar. It was a glass jar filled with their favorite memories of spending time with their granny. It had a lovely tag on the front about spending time together and family memories. Long story short but my mil and my sil started to cry, and to this day she still goes through the memories (usually with her youngest granddaughter.)
It was the best give I had ever given. (or help give)
