I never heard of having turkey for Christmas. We're Italian-American so Christmas Eve is always pasta (lasagna, manicotti, spagetti w/ clams), fish (scallops, shrimps, scungelli, mussels) and side dishes (rice balls, potatos, salad). We never eat any kind of meat or poultry on Christmas Eve, Because my family has a love affair with food (LOL!!) we buy Italian sausages, peppers, onions and loaves of Italian bread to make after midnight because then it's not Christmas Eve anymore and we can eat meat. LOL!! (Don't want to waste any time ya know!! lol)
Christmas Day is usually some kind of ham dish, a chicken dish, ravoili, and side dishes. Of course, both nights there's fruit, wine and Italian pasteries. We're abou 35-45 people in my family.
Happy holidays!!

well the last best sale was 88 cents a lb and I got one in the freezer leftover from that sale before Thanksgiving.
I missed the 88 cent sale due to a head cold this month, so if I choose to buy another turkey, it's 1.49 a lb
