gift card deals

so many want GC as gifts problem with that is for us frugalites its hard to save money on a gC ( ie i can buy a 30$ pair of earrings on clearance for 4.99 - cant do that with a gift card .

what i can do is watch for deals use my point programs to get GC also etc

this week cvs has a buy 50 in itunes GC get 10$ back ( which youc an use on anything )
so i did that deal since my 2 older kids have their own iphones and my middle two have ipods and the youngests big christmas gift is a ipod also . i got 2-25$ GC

last spring acme food stores had a buy 100 worth of GC get 20$ back since we had a bunch of grad parties and b-days - i was able to use the GC for and got 20 back to food shop with

Well done! I will have to keep on the lookout. I do remember that last year around Christmastime Applebee's had a gc deal where you could get $50 in cards and receive a $10 gc free. I was thinking that some of those $10 ones would be good for the few teachers I have left to buy for (I figured they didn't want anymore teacher mugs! lol)

the 5- regular 10$ ones to make up the nice gifts would work nice the 10$ free ones usually cant be used as gifts as easily as they dont start until 2 weeks later or have a use by date etc on them we did that for TGIFridays one year .

Have you tried looking at plasticjungle.com? Sometimes it pays to get the gift cards there depending on what you're looking for. Heck, even for regular Christmas shopping, the cards are discounted so if you plan on buying something clearanced or on sale at a certain store, you can achieve even more savings
