Agree with reading other threads here - there are quite a few who do Christmas year round. Come join us and get inspired.

If funds are just not there, my suggestion is to think about those you want to share some holiday wishes with and write them a note or a letter sharing what you admire in them. That just might possible be the best gift they receive and one that will be kept close to their hearts.
Actually I like this idea. It would work for my daughter. Other's not so sure. I'm sure I'll get into it at some point in the next couple of months......just feeling sorry for myself right at this moment. There are things that I used to do that meant more than the actual gifty part that just hasn't come together in recent years i.e baking cookies with my now grown daughter on Christmas eve and such. It is harder now that she has her own life and is busy. So, I'll stop being a bummer on the christmas spirit.

for those that don't have money, is there some thing that you could give a gift certificate for? For example, babysitting, dog walking, shoveling snow, etc. Or maybe a home made meal once a month or something similar. One year we were broke and had no extra money at all and I did up certificates on the computer and sent them out along with our Christmas cards. Everyone loved the idea and we've been asked if we will do it again. We still do something similar for our parents, but that's because they are so hard to buy for lol

Only have three people to shop for. Will need to figure out what to get two of them that is inexpensive. Although I do have a scarf and glove set that I could use for one.

Summer seems to have gone by really quickly. Hope I can get into the holiday spirit before I feel like it is being crammed down my throat by all the advertising in the stores. The craftstore already has stuff set up.

I was given a big sack of projects from my deceased aunt. Pillow cases sets, table cloths, that need embroidered or painted..... I am planning on getting the fabric paints to do these and will give these out for Christmas...

Smile Run Pandora on full blast

preferably at the office, and promptly fumble around trying to shush it up. That's what happenned today to me! I had started a michael buble' channel, that somehow morphed into a holiday songs channel - don't ask, I'm honestly not all that technically savvy.
Anyway, all afternoon and evening, I've still got these snippets of holiday songs escaping from me as humming or whistling, or even singing . . it's a wierd disease!

I was in the same predictament a few weeks ago, nothing stored away towards the holidays (even wrapping paper!)! I just figured if I wanted to enjoy my holidays, I need to atleast get a few things accomplished so I am not "overwhelmed" by last minute gifts, organization and especially stress!

My mindshift occured after the girls went back to school. Money is usually tight for us (I can't go out and buy it all at once), so I try to at least get 1 present a week (unless I get a good enough deal that I can pick up a few more items). I do have a Christmas Club that I will recieve a check at the end of the month so I would like to get a lot of the "little things" so I can buy the larger gifts with that check.
So within a months time, I have 2 rolls of wrapping paper, some gifts for my girls and stocking stuffers, present for my nephews, my friends girls and 1 "big" present for my youngest (Paper jamz microphone). Although I am nowhere near where I typically am, I atleast have a few things done!

Alright very slowly getting into it! I have half of one brothers and bfs done, and I bought dd 3 new outfits, a coat and christmas eve pjs. I'm going this weekend and going to try and get a few stocking stuffers! I also wrote up a list of people who will be getting cards and will print off pictures of dds last photo session to go into the cards for family. Hopefully sometime next week I will pull them out and start addressing them! I have a bunch of wrapping paper already bought from last year but I like to do my wrapping in December after the tree is up, put dd to bed early, put on a christmas movie light some candles and wrap away! I'm starting to get really excited!!

I haven't started yet, not sure what i'll do, i only have 6 paycheques until then, i guess i'll just buy a couple gifts with each paycheque and maybe make cookies or something for other folks? Have to buy for my 3 sons, my mom, my aunt, my cousin and her daughter, my dbf and his parents.

How did xmas sneak up so quiety and quickly this year? lol

Planning on doing some holiday shopping this weekend here. Big Lots, JoAnn, and World Market all have good coupons this weekend, so hoping I can get some people crossed of my list.
