I am still working on my ornaments for the Christmas Ornament Exchange. So, other than that I haven't made anything else.

But I have a lot of items swimming around in my head. I just need to buckle down and get serious about projects.

I plan on making machine embroidered dish towels and pillow cases. Other items are yet to be decided on.

So far the only thing I've made is some of the jam I canned. I made/canned extra at the end of the berry season specifically for Christmas.

Never, ever get tired of pictures Deb!!

Good idea TRN to put aside extra!!

Labontet - great going on the ornaments - I am going to be starting mine today!!

Spent the day yesterday prepping for stamping swaps - was one of those creative days, so it felt good to get packages set up so I can do/finish the crafting more easily at night.

    What are you up to?

Smile Got started in the 'crafting' dept.

So - I decided our Christmas cards, and have been attached to the cricut machine all weekend . . . Hopefully I can figure out the camera thing and get a snapshot on here. .
My cards are simple, but once I start playing, I can't stop - " hi, my name is Jean, and I'm an addict." I also made gift tags for Christmas. I even designed and printed out invitations and name card leaves for Thanksgiving. In November I help teach at a scrapbooking retreat at the Lake Resort, so I began making/working out some fall, winter, and Christmas ideas (tags, ornaments, name cards, cards). I need to unwind, and relax, or I'm never gonna sleep tonight!
Even dug way back in the closet - I've got stuff to (gasp) sew some ornaments, maybe I'll tackle that soon.
Vermont has two seasons: Wintah and the Fourth of July.

Oh NicJean - I so want to come to your retreat!! And I wish you lived closer so you could get me going with my Cricut - which I was gifted 2 years ago and have never used!! Keep on crafting my friend!!

I worked on decorating notebooks for stocking stuffers - really easy and really cute!!

Okay, Maui, how do you decorate the notebooks? I assume you put covers on regular notebooks (Is that spiral ones?) and then put scrapbooking notions on them. Is that correct? I was thinking about making youngest ds a Minecraft notebook to put notes and drawings in from the game. He likes to draw and make (from perler beads) the characters from the game.

I am working on a christmas quilt with a challenge group. Three blocks a week for 12 weeks. It's tough keeping up. Should have all 36 blocks by December, not sure if it will make it on my bed by christmas, though.

The only other crafted gift I have going is some paper ornaments for a friend. I found some papier mache ornament shapes and I am going to cover them in scrapbook paper and lace.

Won't be visiting family this year and it is too expensive to mail things (and they never let me know what they want/need) so no gifts that direction.

I am working like crazy on all my stamping swaps - cannot believe how many I signed up for!! Need to make 12 Christmas stockings this weekend and then make fun packaging for all the goodies inside - well that will take care of three swaps!!

Have finally decided on the ornament style I am making for our exchange here and have been having a great time this evening working on the individual parts!!

    What are you working one?

Here are 2 of the things I've completed so far.

    1. Crocheted poncho for my 5 year old granddaughter.
(I'm making her 9 year old sister one in a bright aqua.)
    2. Machine-embroidered fingertip towels for my best friend.
(She has lots of parties and puts these in the guest bathroom
so that everyone has a fresh towel to dry their hands.)

Wow, Jean, those towels are impressive! Does she live in New Orleans? We visited there this summer, and saw fleur-de-lis everywhere!

I am making hats for the kids' friends.

And these brownies for the neighbors' gifts. Of course, that baking will be done within a day of delivering them!
