Anyone using Christmas Layaways?
Is anyone going to use a layaway for this Christmas?
We are! I will be using the Walmart layaway this year, even though they will now charge $5, and have restrictions (only toys and electronics items, and the item has to be atleast $15 and the minimum amount to be placed on layaway is $50), we will still be using it! I have about 5 "big ticket" items that I was planning on gifting for Christmas this year and it's always easier for me to make payments on something instead of waiting until I have the money to buy it straight out.
By the way, the 5 items are a laptop, a DS game system (for my mom), the new easy bake oven, and 2 new Wii games.

I use to use layaway every Christmas, it was free there were no restrictions but just this past spring walmart got rid of it. So I'll be buying everything out right, I have been saving money since January so should be fine!

I do my shopping so last minute that layaway wouldn't even be possible.

I did Lay-a-way at KMART last Christmas and I placed my first order on lay-a-way in September and just did a 2nd order on lay-a-way last week. I like KMART because I can do it online and there is not a minimum on what you have to spend. I will be able to pick up both in early November and basically be done with toy shopping for my son. I like it because it is much easier for me to budget $25 every 2 weeks for payment than to come up with the money all at once.
