How stressed has the season caused you to be?
Today wasn't a good day for me. I watched as people who are stressed showed it and then became stressed myself. I'm looking at the sewing I still need to do and although only 3 items, I'm stressed about it. I was stressed to see a friend hurt.
Tonight, I'm going to get a book and read and forget all about Christmas.
How about you - stresses or not!!

This has been a very stressful time for me and it has very little to do with the holidays, it is everything else going on around me!! I really do need to step back and take a breather!!!!! All this stress is starting to make the holidays difficult too!!

I haven't been to bad this year. I usually try to shop early and avoid the crowds as much as I can. Dh is a restaurant manager and has had a few high stress days, but that goes with his job.

this has been an exceptionally stressful holiday season for me too.
Is it just the season or is it this year??? seems this year has been harder than most or is that just me?
I think a good book sounds like a verygood idea.

I don't think the holidays have me stressed, but I have been feeling out of sorts. Just talked to my doc yesterday and she said I may be pre-menopausal, joy. I've been real emotional lately & could cry at the drop of a hat. It's just not like me. Oh well...

Sending a hug to those of you who could use one.

I am very stressed...
Funny it is not really about Christmas, but the whole season...
When I was 10 my dad died in the house on Christmas Eve at my house (he died of cancer and was very ill so I guess it was a blessing) but the holidays bring back all those feeling so the whole season is so sad to me...I am feeling so much more stress as Christmas Eve approched....especially this year because he died when he was 32 and I am 32 so I am feeling how sad it must have been for him to know that he would never see me or my sister grow up...
If It wasn't for the fact we had kids I don't think I would celebrate the holiday at all....

I have been more stressed this year, than ever. Dh and I haven't gotten along too well, and we have way over budget. I can't wait for the new year.

Oh Eileen I am so sorry!! Sending you great big
To be honest, this is the first year since we've been married (13 years) that I haven't been stressed. I always worried if I was buying my kids enough etc...I realized last year they were just as happy with less toys as they would've been with more.
Our kids will have a great Christmas and so will dh and I
We're all together, healthy, happy and will have full tummies
nope--don't feel stressed at all!

Eileen, there isn't a year that goes by that I don't think about this. I am so sorry that it's such a painful time for you. I remember bawling my eyes out the night I heard about your father, and my heart broke for you. Twenty two years later, it's still breaking for you. I hope that some day you'll be able to find peace during this season.Originally posted by sixfreds

Eileen, sending hugs. I think back to a Dad that died in our neighborhood when i was young at Christmas time. Here it is 30 years later and I always think about the dd. Recalling that the Dad was going to buy snowtires and the company donated them for the Mom.
CJ, I am sorry your stressing for your friend.........you are a good one to have.
I have decided not to read stressful posts, even though I have stilll caught myself peeking. I have enough in my life that i dont need anything added.
The boards bring to much joy and friendships that is what I am focusing on. HUGS and praying for the much needed relief for everyone.
