I've made lavender sachets, corn filled bags to heat, softies for children, cookies for people and dog biscuits for their dogs, felt ornaments, crocheted hats and scarves, bath salts - prolly more but I cant remember anymore now. I try to think of what people would like not what I'd like to make - I think thats where some of us crafters go wrong with gifts.

I like the idea of dog biscuits... are they difficult to make? or require a lot of ingredients I'd have around the house? I'd be interested in that!

Love these ideas...
I'm thinking of making some personalized notepads for people, just print off a header for the person & then crafting my own "notepad holder" for each person. I've got some extra mohair, leather, plastic I can use for covers. Also, another idea would be those hard plastic "picture" cases (smaller sized) to slide notes into the outside or pictures (drill a couple holes to make a "book" to hold the paper). (where the holes are is the "spine" of the book).

Thanks for the links. I do want to mention that most dogs shouldn't have wheat of any sort... but I could probably use almond flour or amaranth instead. Great ideas for pet people.

Silver ornaments uot of roof flashing
One smal gift i came up with a cuople of yaers ago is due for a repete. A homeade christmas ornament.
1) just take Roof Flashing and cut 3"x4"squares uot with sizors.
2) make a cardboard template the shape of snowmen or other holiday images.I fancyed an Angle blowing a long trumpet best.
3) trace yuor ornament shape on the flashing with a majic marker.
Cut it uot with sizors.
4) take a nail and punch a smal hole neer the top of the ornament to recieve ribbon to hang it.
5) Lay the metal orniment on a choping block
take a ball peen hammer and beginning at one end hammer yuor way up the orniment.
*Hammer one side only.
6) yuo wil see the thin metal gently ruond on the back side as yuo work the front.
They come uot spaped, textured from the hammer head, rounded and shiny silver.
7) put on yuor ribbon and can make just the one or a matching set.
This hole project only takes abuot 20 minutes each.

I saw a cute Christmas craft gift today. They took 2 short fat jars with lids and glued them together and made a snowman out of them with ribbon etc. Inside the bottom jar was cocoa mix and in the top jar were marshmallows.
