Default Anyone buying a totally NOT frugal Christmas present?

I am. As much as it pains me I am buying my daughter what she really wants- a pair of sparkle Uggs. I have looked and looked for a deal on them- anything. But there is nothing. Everything else I'm buying for Christmas I bought for a steal, but nothing showing up for this item. She is a great girl and we don't normally do this so I'm excited to see her face. I know it is something she'll be so excited to get and that she will use them every day! So, at least it won't sit in a drawer or something. Ugh for Uggs!!

I wasn't frugal at all this time. If weather permits, this will be the first Christmas we will spend with our grandson in at least 5 yrs. I'm spoiling him..

Some of the gifts I bought are 2nd hand, some were on sale. A few were neither. Don't want to specify in case DD reads this thread... it could happen.

We celebrated 10 years this year.

But we also did adopt a whole family for Christmas this year. And one senior citizen
We feel very blessed that we are able to do this for those less fortunate that ourselves.
The family"s are greatful that we took it upon ourselves to help them.

I don't think I bought a single thing on sale. That's the price of desperation, if I found something appropriate I got it, I'm not waiting for deals.

I'm still not done. I have nothing for my mother or my oldest daughter. I expect frugal will be the farthest thing from my mind at this late stage in the game.

for what it's worth I LOVE my uggs and feel they were worth every non-frugal penny I'm sure she will love her hers!

one thing I do for my husband's gifts since most of his "wants" are never on sale either is to order giftcards using credit card points (I pay it off every month) and I also signed up for mypoints to earn giftcards. This helps me subsidize his presents- like this Christmas's $100 Bose headphones I got for free with a giftcard

Not this year. Last year was my big-spend year. I bought DH a signed photo of the 1980 US Hockey Team win. The Miracle on Ice. Signed by all the members of the team, pictures on the back of each member signing it. The look on his face was worth every penny, and I'm not saying how many pennies it cost.

No, seriously. Unless you're ten years old, where do you actually wear sequined boots? And if they're half as warm as Steger mukluks, you can't wear them inside for very long.

I think the OP is buying them for her daughter. No sure of her daughter's age, but I have seen a lot of younger girls wearing them throughout the year. Until they get actual snow anyway.

Women and girls that love Uggs wear them anywhere and everywhere all year long. I don't get it; but to each his own!

Also, I would wear them all over. I love sparkles.
