Do you ever just drive around to see Christmas lights
There is a pretty famous area here that does a wonderful neighborhood display. You can donate at the end of the block if you want and they give you candy canes and a cute way of saying thank you.
It's a big tradition every year. Didn't make it last year, but tonight we took the kids and my step-daughter's best friend with us.
Cheap and fun entertainment.

We did that when the boys were little. They thought it was fabulous. Now, they just aren't interested in it.

I used to do this when DD was younger. Don't do it anymore. Though I do occasionally take a different route to take her to swim practice because it goes through a neighborhood that's way over-done the lights this year.

Yep. We also take the kids through a light display set up in a public park. It is kind of pricey (10 per car), but all of the money goes to make a wish.

Yep. We drive through certain sparkly neighborhoods, and an annual light display for charity. That was last night's activity.

I love doing this
We do take a new route through the neighbourhood just for this reason and if time/budget permits, we do drive through the park and give a donation at the end.

I usually do but haven't done it this year.....yet.
I will especially do it when I am out after dark (which is 4:00 this time of year).....just take another route home.
Our TV stations will feature homes each night on the news and will sometimes go see them too.

Yeppers! And we LOVE it. DD and I will be going out tonight looking at lights and on the way home from Christmas Eve service, we will go thru some nicer neighborhoods. I love looking at Christmas lights and oohing and ahhing over them.

Yes it was one of our traditions. We would bring hot chocolate in travel mugs. Now we just take the long way home from places during the season to hit a few extra areas that we know are well lit up.

We used to take cruises when the kids were little in our old area. Sometimes the pj's would go on under the coats and we would pre warm the car. We have blankets in the car too. So if we were lucky we could put them right in bed.
Monihan-dominos pizza had an amazing show years ago.you would drive thru free and it went on for miles.

of course! The bf and I did this on Saturday - so much fun. We went to the historic district with all the old houses - they were so beautiful. I've done this since I was a kid and still love it now. Plus now I get ideas for decorating my own place!

We do this too. Growing up my folks would drive us kids around to look at christmas lights. I always enjoyed it.
