    Default New Favorite Christmas Song!!

I have become addicted to this song after hearing it once on the radio last week - finally bought it on itunes!! and it is.....

.........'I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas'

...............and don't judge it until you've heard it!! Now I want to choreograph it for my preschoolers to perform at the Christmas program next year - I can just see them marching all around!!

I hear it once in a while on the radio and it brings back certain memories. The first christmas after I left home one of my roommates heard it and announced she wanted a hippopotamus for christmas, too. I had no idea what she was talking about, but my other roomie did.... and we went looking for a hippo. We felt we had to find one because she was having such a bad semester (which is a whole other story). So we looked high and low, in any shop we thought might carry a hippo shaped *anything*, and after a couple weeks of search we found a plush one at an expensive toy shop in the mall. (You, like, you know, remember the malls of the 80's? It was totally awesome.)

Needless to say, it was *the* hit gift that year.
