    Here's 1980...

It's a bit more interesting once you get through the sports photos (well for me anyway). LOL

I was so excited when I got my record player. My aunt's family closed a restaurant and I got a ton of 45's from their jukebox. It was a very awesome year. LOL

Pant suits from 75 . . . My older sister had that burnt-orange one, I had the scary plaid - and I can put my hands on pictures to prove it! How funny!

That was fun! I remember the 'pre washed denim' my friends and I all got that for Christmas that year.
I remember getting a Mood Ring and a Pet Rock, too.

My two oldest dsons got the pajamas on the cover of the 1980 Christmas catalog.

Man, how I used to laugh at my mom's '50s ads and stuff. Now that I'm seeing how we dressed in the '70s and '80s, it's even funnier.

When I think of all the fashion fads that I have lived through (and survived) - I think 1975 was pretty tame. The mustaches lived on for many more years - that's about the time I moved to Maui. I am in my seventh decade and cannot wait to see what comes next - new or revival - someone will always take it to an extreme!! Great thread!!

My brother wore toughskins because they were the only thing he couldn't wear out. I probably had one of the pant sets. My mom was huge on the Sears catalog.
