    Unhappy I am totally NUTS!

Here it is Dec. 23rd and I just finished baking cookies. I still have to make 1 more batch of lemon curd and another batch of fudge.

My house is a wreck, laundry needs to be done, and I have to re-decorate the tree. As my little darlings (Ralph and Toby) knocked the entire tree on the floor at 4 am and broke the stand. Dh fixed it but he took all the ornaments off in order to move it, so now I have to put them all back on!

I have cookie platters to make up, a fruit salad to make to take to Mom's for Christmas brunch, personal cards to fill out and the best thing is I HAVEN'T WRAPPED NOT ONE GIFT YET!

Here I sit on the computer!

Yep, I'm nuts! I have never been so far behind. I did better when I worked full time on night shift!

    Ok, I'm done now............

Diana I'm right here with you, sister! I'm so tired I could drop, and this is the first I've been on the computer all day. I still have some gifts to wrap, piles of laundry, and cleaning to do. I hate doing all of those things on Christmas Eve, but every year it happens.

We will get through this! lol

LOL! Here I sit with you! I haven't baked any cookies yet. I guess I am waiting until tomorrow. The computer is more fun than baking.

Diana, just thought I'd share a tip with you... Right above the tree (centered) I put a small cuphook in the ceiling and tie the very top of the tree with fishing line, that way furbabies or human babies even cannot knock the tree over. They may bat a few ornaments off, but knocking the entire tree over will be impossible.

Thanks Robin, dh wired it to the wall as the top is a separate piece. So far so good. I think it scared the dickens out of them when it came crashing down! Luckily no ornaments broke. But it probably hurt if one of them got conked in the head with one of the ceramic ones! It took me about 30 seconds to get into the dining room to see what happened and no one was around. I know it was Ralphie, he is the instigator and Toby just follows his lead. The rest of my fur babies (all 7 of them) have never climbed the tree, so this is a first for me. I know, I'm pretty lucky this is only the first time!

They thought I didn't have enough to do!

I do love my fur babies though, so back to decorating!

BTW - All the ornaments on the bottom of the tree are either sytrofoam or crocheted and I keep finding them all over the house! Never a dull moment!

Yep... Robin is right. We always tie our tree up.

Diana... you can do it, we're cheering you on.

    Thanks Sherry, the cheering helped!

I got everything done except re-decorate the tree. I didn't want to do it when we will be gone so long tomorrow. I just don't trust the little buggers when they get bored!

It has been an extremely long day. I just have to iron whatever (haven't figured out what yet!) I am going to wear tomorrow and call it a night!

Thanks for all the encouragement ladies.

    Have a wonderful day tomorrow!

    Merry Christmas! :santa:
