    Question When do you un-decorate?

    Usually I take everything down the day after Christmas so that it will all be put away by the time Lauren's birthday rolls around (the 28th)...that way it's just her birthday and no Christmas thrown into it. However, this year I was soooooo late in getting it all up that it's staying up until the first or second week in January

    Ours will probably be coming down Sunday or New Years day. Poor thing looks naked, but still beautiful, without gifts under it.

    I usually undo everything christmas night or the day after. This year its the day after, I was just too tired last night.

    Today I think, dh will get the lights outside when he can put up a ladder, too much snow right now..... but if they are not down by newyears (The outside I mean) they will not be lit after new years day...

    Normally, I would be doing that today -- but dh just loves the holiday decorations and begged me this morning to "please leave them up a little while longer!". What can I do?!! He is a bigger kid than all of the rest of them put together!

    I will probably do it this weekend.

    I don't take down my tree till New Years. Well, really the first Saturday after New Years, that's when I don't have to work & I have all day to do it. Our tree is real with roots & we already dug the hole for it. Just take it out & plant it.

    we will probably take ours down tonight or tomorrow. i'm ready for it to be put away too. i feel bad, we didn't put it up till late, but i'm really glad it's time to take it all down!! i'm ready for things to get back to normal!

    I was planning on waiting until New Year's Day, but I am going to start today. We have 3 dogs (all Aussies) and I'm surprised we haven't had a disaster before now. One ornament got knocked off the tree on Christmas Day and was chipped. This morning they have run through the house barking at every sound they've heard and the tree has been hit more times than I can count. *sigh* Next year the tree is being put in a different spot for sure!
