Christmas trees?
Are you putting up an artificial tree or a real one?
We have used an artificial tree for the last few years. I always had a fresh tree growing up, but it's been an artificial tree for me as an adult.
If you use a fresh one, do you select a certain variety each year?

We didn't put a tree up for several years. Just didn't want to fool with one, after the kids were grown and out of the house. This year I saw the new artificial trees that have the lights built into them. The gals, on another board, figured out how to get one fairly cheap so, I got one this year
Kind of nice having a tree up after so long. Bought new ornaments but, bought them all at the Dollar Tree or at Big Lots. My daughter actually told me how pretty it was this evening

Christmas Tree
We actually do both. It mainly depends whether or not we can make it to cut down our own..

We have an artificial tree. I have asthma and don't want to spend the season wheezin'.
Never underestimate the power of frugality!

Artificial. We had both when I was a kid. I never realized what a pain in the butt the real ones were until I was out on my own. I don't see us getting a real one anytime soon.

Artificial here...
starting this year as a matter of fact. I am allergic to the real ones, and I finally convinced dh that the artificial ones are easier to care for and more economical in the long run.
How much do real trees cost in your area? They're $30+ here for a 6' tree, so I figured that the artificial one would pay for itself within a few years.

For those of you with the artificials, do you have a prelit or fiber optic type? In wonder if the fiber optic ones lose their "light" in time.

NO tree here this year. Kittens would knock it over in less time then it would take me to put it up. Maybe next year when they are more calm. I did hang up my cards and a wreath on the door.
