Question What time are you up Christmas morning?

When do you get up Christmas morning and do you eat breakfast first?

Our ds is still young, so we aren't up any earlier due to excitement etc. I am expecting to be up around 7am.

We usually just put a pot of coffee on and open gifts and afterwards have breakfast. I am thinking of doing a more special breakfast this year.

Default I think 7:00 here too...

this will probably be my last year where I am not woken up too too early due to excitement. Though my oldest *may* be too excited to sleep this year....

We do coffee, hot chocolate, and it's family tradition to have homemade date nut bread while opening gifts. Then we shower and rush off to do family visiting.

Our kids are still pretty small, so they really don't understand the whole Christmas thing yet. So I will get up at 7:00 and shower and then the rest of the family will get up around 7:30. Normally we don't eat breakfast before opening presents, but I may have to give them a snack and a drink before we start. I will just have to play it by ear.

We usually get up around 7 or 7:30. We all shower and dress, my son has breakfast and DH and I coffee. Then we sit down and take all the time we need to open presents.
DS is our only child and he is 12 now, old enough to control his excitement. Even when he was younger though, we did it this way. We don't feel like we are in a mad rush to get it done this way.
This year DH's parents and sister and her 3 boys will be here for Christmas. We may let the boys get into thier stockings to give everyone else time to prepare for the morning.

this christmas is gonna be kinda crazy cause dh has to work at 3pm on christmas day!!!

but we will make the most of it!!

anyways we will get up at 6am. it is just dh and i. we will open presents from eachother and then we will get ready to go to my parents house.

i have 5 little sisters so we will gather all their presents and bring them over there. my mom will make breakfast and we will enjoy our time together.

then around noon we will head over to dh's parents house. we will open presents. and have lunch.

my dh will go to work and i will go with his parents to his grandmothers house. she is hispanic and always makes a spanish christmas dinner. i love going over there!!

i will bring leftovers for my dh and on my way home i will drop them off to him and will spend about an hour there with him!!

how do u guys handle going to parents and inlaws for christmas??

sometimes i just wanna stay home and not go anywhere and just enjoy my dh....
