What will be the theme for your Christmas tree...
this year? I'll be doing the same theme as last year....Primitive. I had clear lights and all wooden or rusted tin ornaments.It was very simple
This year I'll make some garland like what Jodi posted.Maybe string some popcorn (if I can keep my kids from eating it
)
I want my tree very simple yet pretty

i'd love to have a popcorn srtand, or cranberry strand, but i think the kids...or my bird would go after the pop corn! LOL
With Hannah being really into things, i dont know that we will have an actual tree this year...maybe one on a table top perhaps that will stay out of little kids reach (especially for when my back is turned
)
I ususally do a homemade christmas ornament theme.~~ Missy ~~

I don't know yet. I want to keep it very simple, but pretty. I like country themes, so I am sure it will be along that line some how.

I always have the same theme. I only have handmade ornaments on my tree. Christmas tree decorating makes me very weepy as I can remember each ornament, who made it or gave it to me. I especially love the ones that the kids made when they were little. They "think" I will give them to them when they grow up (yeah right) They gave them to me and they are mine right? Anyway, I will leave them to their rightful owners in my will, but until then...They are mine...mine...mine!

Same ornaments year after year, sometimes a few new ones join them. No theme...just family getting together and decorating our tree together.

We're the same as Darlene, same ornaments every year with new ones added as they've been given as gifts or purchased as souveniers. Dh and I have ornaments that were special to us as children (ones with our names on them, etc.), a special one from the first year we were married, etc. All of the ornaments are unique, except for the 20 or so red glass balls we also use. We use the small white lights.

We've had to give up the big tree since we now have 1 couch and 2 loveseats in the living room. We also have 5 cats that think trees are great things to climb!!!!
I have such a wonderful collection of ornaments that my parents gave me each year growing up and continued that tradition with my hubby and my kids. We also get ornaments each year for the kids so that they can take them with them (they are marked with their names and the date) when they leave home. I remember my first Christmas away from home. I had a "Charlie Brown special" tree and my mom sent me all my ornaments. I cried as I unwrapped each one and put them on my lonely tree. That was such a sad Christmas because I was alone, but having those ornament there did help comfort me.
Now we have a small prelit Christmas tree that we put up on our buffet. I found some gorgeous tiny glass ornaments last year for it on a trip to Leavenworth (a small Barvarian themed town in Washinton). It's beautiful to look at and I can even pack it up and take it along when we do an early Christmas with my brother and his fiance.

We have the same ornaments from when I was a kid. My mom doesn't put up a tree now that I am gone. But we don't have a tree. I want to get one for this year though. We do have one of those table top trees.

I was looking for a table top tree last year, but I found a great deal on a 6' one and bought it instead. I suppose we'll be decorating just the top 1/2 with the ornaments I've made.

Ours is pretty much the same every year and I love it. Homemade ornaments, special bought or gift ornaments, wooden beads garland, clear mini lights and an angel at the top of the tree.
