Traditions ~ Favorite Christmas Movie...

Our holiday tradition is this...

After we all eat way too much on Thanksgiving, we gather around the TV and watch George C. Scott's version of "A Christmas Carol"...then every night until Christmas, I watch "Muppet's Christmas Carol" (it's my favorite, favorite Christmas movie...) then on Christmas Eve, we all gather round the tube again to watch "It's A Wondrful Life".....

We also read an Advent story each night during Advent.....

Oh Goodness! We have our favorites here too that we watch each year. The first one is Miracle of 52nd (?) Street on Thanksgiving day! Then as Christmas gets closer we watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (

), White Christmas, A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out!), It's a Wonderful Life, The Santa Clause, Jingle All the Way, and a few more I can't think of. this year we are adding The Littlest Angel

since I finally got it on video!

When we get together with Steve's family(for thanksgiving) we play rook after we eat and then draw names for Christmas and decide whos house we're going to and whos cooking what LOL
even though we all have our own "specialties" that we make every single year!!!

Let's see...we watch all the frosty the snowman,Santa claus is coming to town,how the grich stole christmas,charlie brown, etc shows because of the kids.Then we watch National Lampoons Christmas vacation and a Christmas Story,the santa claus,and ernest saves Christmas ( dh's pick..not mine lol).

I love watching all the cartoons as well, Tammy. They are wonderful. My mom bought me "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th Street" a long time ago for Christmas (I love those old movies) so I watch them a lot in the winter too. DH loves "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation." Angie (voodidit) was kind enough to give it to him for Christmas one year so of course we have to watch that one as well (DH would probably watch it once a week if I let him...lol)

I love to watch the Muppets Chrsitmas Carol, Miracle on 34ht st, and any other musical Christmas specials I can find. I LOVE Christmas music. Well, I just love music period, but especially Christmas music. (Guess my parents did give me a good name after all )
